Happy Mother’s Day

Today has been a beautiful Spring day, a day to just relax and enjoy being outside! John and I took a nice leisurely shopping trip in the convertible today and had a very nice time. Now I’m sitting on the back porch listening to the water falling in my new fountain and thinking about the work I should be doing in the house! I’ve been working on another shawl and am enjoying some mindless knitting!

Happy Mother’s Day Mom!

May Showers?

This has been such a strange Spring. After several weeks of nice warm weather, we had our one and hopefully only snow day of the school year. Now the weather is warm again … and there is a probability of rain every day!

The beginning of May means Spring sports games are starting up again. I went to Peyton’s first ball game of the year Tuesday evening. His team lost but it was still nice to be sitting outside watching baseball again! Jeremy is the head coach of Peyton’s team and does a nice job with the kids.

Jonathan and Caity work together to coach Becca’s soccer team. I’d love to be able to see some of their games – I wonder if they play any in June?

I’ve been doing a lot of knitting lately. I’ve been working on socks – three single socks that need mates – and recently made a shawl, inspired by a pretty picture on someone’s blog.
